Solar Panel Energy Installers – About Solar

Solar energy is produced by the sun which emits a high amount of energy to the earth. If all of this solar energy could be harnessed, the solar radiation which reaches the globe every half an hour would amount to enough to fulfill worldwide energy requirements for a whole year – the start of a brighter tomorrow.

Solar Install are suppliers of solar panels across the UK, including solar panels Glasgow and solar panels Edinburgh as well as supplying solar panels in London, solar panels York and solar panels Cardiff.

Solar Install can supply three types of solar panel technology:

    1. A flat plate collector system which turns heat radiated by the sun into hot water, liquid runs through the solar panels will be warmed by the sunlight, and this liquid will then pass through a coil in the water tank, which then heats the water stored in the tank. The benefits of using flat plate collector systems are they lower CO2 emissions on an average domestic system by up to 400kg per year, the systems are easy to install and maintain and they save money on heating hot water whilst reducing your carbon emissions.
    2. Evacuated tube collector systems are most commonly used for domestic purposes but they can also be used for commercial buildings too. These systems work best when they are placed on a south-facing wall that receives direct sunlight for most of the day, they are the most expensive systems to install but are the most efficient – these panels capture the sun from many angles due to their round surface.Benefits of evacuated tube collector systems is that they capture light at many more angles than standard flat panels and still function at their full efficiency when the sun is low in the sky, they cut CO2 emissions, can be easily integrated with other heating systems, reduce the cost of hot water, are easy to maintain and install and save you money.
    3. Photovoltaic panels save energy by adapting the sunlight into electricity, this is called the photoelectric effect, which was discovered by Einstien in the early 1920′s. Today the technology has been adapted into solar panels which are mede up of 2 very thin silicon plates, a positive plate and a negative plate, when sunlight hits the plates electrons jump form psoitive to negative causing a current to flow. It is this current that is then fed into an inverter which turns the current from DC to AC which means it can then be used to power elctric appliances in the home of the future or the ultra-modern office. The benefits of choosing photovoltaic panels are that they do not produce greenhouse gases that will help you to save on CO2 emissions, and with the new government Feed in Tarrif, these systems have become very popular giving an excellent investment return for a period of 25yrs, tax free to domestic users.

The installation process is easy but there are a few things to be considered before it begins, these are the location, shade and tilt angle, as they are factors which will determine the performance of the solar system, they are all completely environmentally safe solar panels for home and commercial buildings. Planning permission in the UK is generally not required but should always be checked upon especially in listed buildings or conservation areas.

The system can connect into the local electricity network, and any excess electricity not used can be sold back to the national grid. New Energy Futures at Solar Install have an in house design team to ensure you get the best option for your requirements, and can answer any questions you may have.
